Infinio

In Jalema’s collection you can find numerous storage solutions. For example, there are products made out of cardboard, polypropylene (PP), with or without certification, etc.! A good example is Infinio: a complete line of storage files. An important brand, mainly for the Dutch market. What makes the Infinio line special, is that all products are FSC® and ICN-certified. Sounds nice, but what does that actually mean?

FSC® | For responsible forestry

The Infinio files are (just like a big amount of our other files) are provided with an FSC®-certificate. FSC® is an abbreviation of Forest Stewardship Counsel. This is a body that commits to responsible forestry. Theys peak of responsible forestry when ecological, social and economical aspects that are important with forestry are in balance. FSC® want to take care of this in the most transparent way possible. Because Jalema finds this important, all of the products from the Infinio line are made of FSC®-certified cardboard.

ICN

The ICN-certificate has a couple of subdivisions, from which there are three important for Jalema. These are ICN 1, 2 and 12. ICN looks at the durability of document carriers, for example how often the holder can be folded open and shut. There is also looked upon the materials that are used in the document carrier and wheter these affect the documents archived in the document carrier. The great things about the Infinio products are that they are all equipped with one of the ICN certificats.

ICN 1

ICN 1 is granted to file covers without fastening mechanism for permanent storage, for example the Infinio A4 Insert File. The file is made of chlorine- and acid-free Colorkraft cardboard and, because of that, is extremely suited for permanent, loose-leaf storage.

ICN 2

ICN 2 is granted to file covers with a fastening mechanism for permanent storage, for example the Infinio A4 Clipexfile. This file is just like the Infinio A4 Insert File made of chlorine- and acid-free Colorkraft cardboard. Also, the file includes the Jalema Clipex, which is made without plasticizers, so ink won’t stick to it.

ICN 12

ICN 12 is granted to fastening mechanisms for permanent storage, for example the JalemaClipex. This is a variant of the JalemaClip which is suited for long-term storage. This is because (just as described above) the Jalema Clipex doesn’t contain plasticizers and is PVC-free.

Besides the above, the ICN certificate guarantees that that document carrier can store the contains for a long time. The documents stored in the document carrier aren’t affected by the cardboard used in the carrier. So the ICN-certificate goed beyond only acid-free files and has to be acknowledged and used by all the Dutch government agencies.

The ICN-certified Infinio product are the perfect solution for all government agencies. The Infinio line is uniquely suited for everyone who wants to keep documents for a longer time, like municipalities, architects or hospitals.
