Jalema will continue activities in Hoogezand
In consultation with the official receiver for Atlanta, now bankrupt, and the former owner Smead, Jalema succeeded in taking over all Atlanta's former assets in Hoogezand, thus preserving jobs for about twenty members of staff. Through his real estate company, Jalema's former managing director Joan Westendorff has bought Atlanta's former buildings and leased them to Jalema.
Wim de Goei, general manager of Jalema B.V. is very happy with the continuation of activities in Hoogezand. “We didn't need to move production, we're preserving jobs and we can fully equip the two warehouses in order to set up a new department for external archive storage known as Jalema Archiefspecialist (Jalema Archive Specialist).”
