To create and keep an overview... Some people can do this naturally, for others it is hard to do. Are you someone who is always busy and cannot properly maintain your overview? Then we can suggest; read this blog & we will give you five tips for creating an overview.

1. Do not leave documents lying around

A clean desk makes sure that you have less stress and more rest in your mind - Leaving documents on your desk is a no-go! Fortunately, Jalema offers the Jalema Grip; an effective solution for hanging all of the documents that are lying on your desk. The Jalema Grip is not only convenient and efficient to use, but also very representative. Amongst others, the Jalema Grip is used in schools, restaurants and architectural offices. You can put paper of all shapes and sizes into the Jalema Grip, from coupons to large drawings.

The Jalema Grip is available in five different sizes:

  • 340 mm;
  • 600 mm;
  • 900 mm;
  • 1200 mm;
  • 2400 mm.

Besides that, it is possible to create a Jalema Grip at any desired size.

You can easily slide your documents in the Jalema Grip, they won’t fall out. Don’t worry; they won’t get damaged at the moment you pull the documents out. To get the paper out, you can easily pull it down in an angle of 90 degrees.

2. Make a list of all your tasks

If you have a busy day, it is important that you know for yourself which tasks you have to complete. To make sure that you do not forget any tasks, it is a good idea to write these down, make a priority list. There are a few useful ways to do this:

  1. Use post-its: start with a bunch of post-its and write one task on each post-it. Stick those post-its onto each other, in the order of least important too most important. By doing this, you can quickly see how many tasks you have to complete and you easily know what has priority;
  2. Write all of your tasks down on a piece of paper and make a schedule. A ‘Things to do’-book can help you by creating an overview of this;
  3. Create a MindMap: this way you can write down your tasks per category.

3. Use a whiteboard

A whiteboard can help you to create and keep an overview; it’s a very efficient and representative tool, easy to use when you are giving a presentation, convenient to write tasks or a schedule on and easy to hang important documents on it.

Do you know what else you can do with a whiteboard? You can attach the Jalema Grip on it! The Jalema Grip can easily be attached on a whiteboard with the included special magnets. This way a presentation on paper and a presentation on a whiteboard can easily be combined. If you no longer need the Jalema Grip or temporarily want more space on the whiteboard, you can easily remove it from the board without damaging it. The Jalema Grip can also be permanently attached to whiteboards with the included screws and adhesive tape. Three sizes of the Jalema Grip are already available with a magnet for white boards and office cabinets (34 cm, 90 cm and 120 cm).

4. Put your loose papers in work files

If you have a lot of loose papers on your desk but don’t want to hang them all on your wall, it is wise to put these papers in several work files. For every category you choose another file and you categorize the documents in these files. It is most handy to choose different colours for every other category. If you use the Secolor-files out of the Jalema-range for this you can select out of six different colours.

5. Distinguish the major tasks from the minor tasks

If you have a profession in which you are expected to do many tasks at the same time it’s important that you keep an overview of your priorities. Slide your tasks in a Jalema Grip; the main tasks must hang in front. By doing this, you start working on the tasks that are most important. Once a task has been completed, it can easily be removed out of the Jalema Grip. This way you don't have to search for information and you can easily see what needs to be done.

If you get started with these five tips, you'll be a professional in keeping an overview in no time. Start today and take an advantage of it!
